About The Drop-in Center

The Drop-in Center provides members with social activities, and the opportunity to participate in self-help programs. We have many activities for our memebers, including a pool table, satellite TV, DVD showings, card and bingo games, chess and so much more. Self help classes are offered every day of the week, and we have Arts & Crafts and Training Classes for volunteers held often. Click here to find out how to contact us.

Cynthia, on the right, is our Drop-In manager and Willie, on the left, is the Drop-in Center Assistant Manager. Joe (pictured on the right) is our maintenance man. If you need any assistance while in the Drop-in Center, please see one of the staff listed here, or visit the person sitting behind the front desk.

Above is a picture of our newly remodeled Drop-In Center. The PEER Center is a place that people with mental health disabilities can gather, and socialize without having to deal with the stigma that is popularly associated with having a mental illness. Between 60 and 110 people visit the PEER Center each day, with 4 to 6 volunteers to help keep the center operating. The Drop-In couldn't stay open without the dedicated help of our volunteers each day!

The awning in the back area provides shade for members to socialize out in the open air and many of our members go out and smoke in the shaded area. Often, members host groups, such as the A-Z group, in the back area.
